The 11th International Conference on Computational Mechanics and Virtual Engineering (COMEC 2025) will be organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Transilvania University of Brașov, and will take place on 16–17 October 2025, in Brașov, Romania.
Following the success of its previous editions, COMEC 2025 provides a premier platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to share the latest advances in computational mechanics, virtual engineering, and simulation-driven design. The conference emphasizes the integration of digital tools, numerical methods, and emerging technologies to tackle complex engineering challenges and optimize modern production and design processes.
The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including structural mechanics, mechanics of solids, modeling and computational methods, finite element analysis, innovative structural systems, mechatronics and robotics, micro- and nanosystems, machine learning and artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and digital twin technology. Complementary areas such as sustainability, life-cycle engineering, bioengineering, biomechanics, applied thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, acoustics, and vibrations will also be addressed.
By integrating these topics, COMEC 2025 is closely aligned with the field of Advanced Manufacturing. The conference highlights how simulation, virtual engineering, digitalization, and innovative technologies can support efficient, sustainable, and cutting-edge production systems across industries including aerospace, automotive, energy, and civil engineering.
We warmly invite you to join COMEC 2025 in Brașov - a historic city in the heart of Romania, surrounded by the scenic Carpathian Mountains - for an inspiring exchange of ideas, networking, and collaboration, while exploring the latest developments in computational mechanics and virtual engineering that are driving the future of advanced manufacturing. We look forward to welcoming you to a memorable and stimulating conference experience!
